Hello . . .

This is me, Niki Foreman.

My pronouns are she/her, and I am an editor, an author, a mentor for aspiring book editors and a professional speaker.

My story started in northern England, where I grew up before moving south to work as an editor in book publishing at Penguin. I spent my 20s in London, my 30s in Sydney on the land of the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation, and my 40s have led me to rural Queensland, where I live and work on the land of the Gubbi Gubbi people in the Sunshine Coast with my husband, two children and two cats.

I have spent a lot of my life feeling like I don’t fit in. I have spent a lot of my life trying to be someone different. I have spent a lot of my life apologising for being me. But now, I spend a lot of my time writing, speaking and working with others to help the world understand how to INCLUDE EVERYONE – so that everyone finds their place; so that difference is embraced; so that everyone is valued.
